So . . .

I'm 9.5 weeks pregnant. After losing the last baby, we didn't tell the kids at first. I got to see the ultrasound last Wednesday and we were blessed to see there is a heartbeat. That U/S was so hard to go to since that's when I found out I'd lost the last baby. I was sick after from the stress let-down. We told the kids when we got home and while Isaiah just kinda didn't react, Ayla was jumping all over. She kept asking, "You're going to born a baby???" How can one correct grammer when she is so excited? lol! Anyway, I was sick for about 4 days after - I think the Chinese food we got from Panda Express didn't sit well. Anyway, the doctor said that as long as I was staying hydrated he was sure the baby was fine. I am staying plenty hydrated. Some of you will pass out to hear that I've nearly stopped drinking coffee altogether! I have been drinking half calf on occasion, or decaf, and I really am not wanting it right now. In this last week I was so sick that not only was I not feeling well, but I couldn't eat, either. I lost 6 lbs last week! But I had it to spare, so that's not really an issue, either! ;) Anyway, feeling better the last 2 days, did a little "Christmas" shopping - some really neat finds at the thrift store - got 4 loads of laundry done, 2 loads of dishes, and actually scrapped a 2 pg LO today - what is the world coming to?!? lol! The only "complaint" I have is that the "morning" sickness (what a misnomer!) starts at about 2:30 and gets worse as the day goes on. After dinner I am so sick I just want to go to bed, but Wednesdays are my crazy kid/homework/guitar lessons/church day and I can't rest. But I'm thankful that there's still a healthy, living baby in there to make me feel sick, so I guess it's okay . . .

I got tagged by Martha, and I think Tara tagged me the same tag, but I haven't done it yet and need to. Maybe in the morning I will feel well enough to sit here long enough to do it!

Yeah I agree, I hate being sick while pregnant but I know that with Seth I was grateful for at least that little bit of reminder that he was okay and growing.
