CM Crop weekend

This weekend, my CM Consultant, April Drinnon, www.mycmsite.com/aprildrinnon , is hosting an online crop. Well, seeing as I never sit at my computer long enough to look at anything, I only found out about it about an hour before it started! So I am playing along, but not expecting to get as much done as I would have had I prepared better! LOL! Anyway, our first Challenge required us to go to a CM site (www.pixels2Pages.net) and look at their challenges, use one for a LO, and show it to April. I figured, since I *rarely* post anything to my blog, I would post things here and have her see them where you can also see them! (I'm smart that way!) The site we got the ideas from was for digital scrapping, but we could turn it into a traditional LO, too. I was having a hard time seeing directions for the challenge I started, so I decided to use 2 different challenges on this LO. Surely one will count! The first one was "Challenge 86" which was to "use a shape as the background and then add your words on top and then size each letter to the outline of the shape (basically the shape is a guide for placement). When finished, you delete the shape behind it." I tried this with the pennants on my page, making a trapezoid, wide on the left and narrowing to the right. My letters and pennants get smaller across the page, making it look as though they are getting further away . . . I hope! Anyway, I also did Challenge 81, Put a Ring on It, including a ring on the LO. I wanted these photos to really stand out, so I did the journaling in the patterned paper so you would have to look for it a little. Here it is:

"A Cowboy To LOVE"

(Yes, there really is journaling there . . . )
More journaling under the bottom picture, and on the ring.

I often journal where you have to look for it - cool pennants and yep it does look as if it is going away.
